Recently several parking restriction signs have ‘popped up’ around the Estate. These signs were erected by one of Centro’s sub-contractors as part of a parking mitigation scheme during the period when the railway station car park is enlarged, but were erected without any consultation or permission. The Estate is currently in discussion with Centro about these signs which quite wrongly, and unlawfully, suggest ‘offending’ vehicles will be removed.
Part of the south car park at the railway station has been fenced off with the temporary loss of around seventy parking spaces. The works to construct the new two storey car park are expected to commence shortly, although no firm date is yet known. When the works commence and further railway station car parking is lost the Estate will monitor its effect upon Estate roads and will take action if necessary.
