The Estate’s electrical contractors carry out a survey of the streetlighting columns in hours of darkness when the winter period is approaching. This survey identifies columns that are inoperative or not operating fully. This survey has recently been conducted out and several columns that were found to be faulty have been repaired.

Improvements to verges under the Footpath & Verge Improvement Plan are continuing on Hartopp Road, between the tennis club and Four Oaks Road. Further works in Hartopp Road and then in Ladywood Road are planned for the next phase of this plan.

A new streetlighting column has been installed in Luttrell Road by the tennis club to improve the lighting in what was a particularly under-lit stretch of footpath. As part of the Footpath & Verge Improvement Plan, works will commence around the middle of February (weather permitting) to the verges on Bracebridge Road between Lichfield Road and Wentworth Road. The verges will be re-laid in time for the spring growing season and will improve the appearance of this stretch of roadway.

A letter is being sent to all residents today explaining that the leaf clearance operation is being made far more difficult and time consuming due to a small number of residents, or their gardeners, dumping their garden waste on the footpaths and roadways.
